It offers a wide range of paints, wallpapers, floor coverings, curtains, rugs and decorative accessories. Recognized for its “smart discount” positioning, the brand is aimed at customers who want to combine style, quality and a controlled budget. With 23 points of sale in France and a team of more than 200 employees, Décor Discount is pursuing sustained growth. From tradition to digital: the Décor Discount training course

The challenge

At Décor Discount, a brand specializing in accessible decoration, training represented a major strategic challenge. With three business sectors and more than 8,000 product references divided into multiple sub-families (paints, carpets, lawns, wallpapers, fabrics, etc.), salespeople must demonstrate great versatility. However, until now, training was based on paper tools and job cards in Excel: a method that was difficult to use on a daily basis.

It was the regional directors who identified as a priority the need to professionalize and digitize training. The goals were clear:

➡️ Lighten the burden on regional directors
➡️ Simplify life in stores by offering a more intuitive training format
➡️ Adapting tools to younger generations, who are increasingly present in teams

Before Beedeez, resources were lacking, and the time devoted to training was insufficient, despite the crucial importance of customer advice in a supported sales model. A modern, mobile and engaging tool was therefore needed, capable of supporting all salespeople in stores and e-commerce, throughout the year, in a very dense business universe.

The deployment of Beedeez

Décor Discount chose Beedeez after having the platform tested by several young employees and store managers. All were seduced by the ease of use and the possibilities of personalization, which reinforced the choice.

From the launch, the tool was quickly adopted by the teams and an acculturation phase was put in place:

  • Former trainers called upon to build the first capsules
  • A support on existing books, products and supports to create 62 capsules in just 4 months.
  • Business briefs sent by field experts to build content

Today, thanks to the implementation of Beedeez, Décor Discount has reduced the onboarding time of employees to only one month! Comprising two modules: product training and sales training. Enough to quickly make newcomers operational.

Beedeez made it possible to set up:

✔️ A rapid digitization of existing content
✔️ A dynamic of co-creation with field teams
✔️ A redesigned commercial animation, with 1 new content highlighted every week
✔️ A precise tracking system, which did not exist until now

The results

The establishment of Beedeez has caused a real cultural transformation:

  • Employees are trained spontaneously, out of a desire to progress
  • Field ambassadors have emerged, including a key salesperson who now creates very high-quality content.
  • The Petit Bac game revealed a strong correlation between capsule completion and performance: one of the most committed stores obtained a 20/20 for all of its salespeople

On the managerial side, the effects are also measurable:

  • Store managers monitor the progress of their teams
  • Regional directors follow the global training activity
  • Precise KPIs are now available: completion rate, employee engagement, managerial commitment

Result? A continuous increase in turnover correlated to training, a strong commitment of teams, and renewed pride in increasing skills.

And for the future?
Marie, in charge of the project, now wants to ritualize the training: for each new product to automatically trigger the creation and distribution of a module on the platform.

With Beedeez, Décor Discount has found more than one tool: a lever for corporate culture, commercial animation and continuous skills development.
