The client 

ABB is a Swiss-Swedish company with headquarters in Zurich. Present in nearly 100 countries, it is one of the leaders in advanced technologies serving customers in the public service, industry, transportation, and infrastructure sectors.

ABB France, the French subsidiary of ABB, has a training center where it trains its customers on the various robots and products it offers. If such training is necessarily face-to-face, ABB intended to complement it with a post-training follow-up through a Mobile Learning application.

The challenge

ABB's training areas are very technical and precise and require not only great concentration but also a lot of memorization. However, during long and dense training sessions, some key topics can be forgotten, and are especially difficult to find in the various course documents that customers receive. 

Thus, ABB's challenge was to find a way to complement their training methods in order to: 

  • make it easier for their clients to remember the topics they have learned during a training session by allowing them to quickly review them 
  • easily find the topics they may have forgotten so that they are not caught off guard when they are in front of the robot; 
  • encourage customers to automatically refer to an application by making the training fun thanks to the gamification logic.

The solution

Beedeez suggested a white-label application to ABB, RoboTraining. 

This application is presented as a review platform available to clients following a visit to the ABB training center. They can consult it in self-service for one year. 

In RoboTraining clients can : 

  • strengthen their knowledge by choosing the topics they wish to review according to their subject and the time they have available;
  • access courses wherever and whenever they want, even offline thanks to the offline mode;
  • use the application on the device of their choice, whether it is a phone, a tablet, or a computer, and regardless of their operating system (IOS or Android);
  • learn in a fun way thanks to a gamified solution that offers several learning formats.

Thanks to Beedeez, ABB's training center stands out from its competitors by the quality and effectiveness of their training and by offering a follow-up solution, which is rare.
